My primary interests are glacial geology, ice core chemistry, and climate dynamics. I am currently involved with a project in the Allan Hills Blue Ice Area of Antarctica, where we hope to collect some of the oldest ice on Earth! My previous research experience includes studying the physical properties of the U.S. ITASE ice cores using scanning electron microscopy and associated equipment. I have also been involved in paleoclimate reconstructions using polar marine diatoms from the Larsen Embayment on the Antarctic Peninsula.
