Bjorn Grigholm

Research Interests:

Late Holocene Climate and Environmental Reconstruction of central Asia via ice cores.

My focus is to establish a synoptic understanding of the variations (gradual and abrupt) of atmospheric circulation, temperature, atmospheric dust concentrations, and anthropogenic pollutants in central Asia through analysis and interpretation of glaciochemistry (e.g. stable isotopes, major soluble ions, and trace elements). Research sites include: the Tibetan Plateau (Tanggala and Nyianquentanglha mountain ranges), the Tien Shan, and the Pamir.
