University of Maine Cooperative Extension Announces Cooking for Crowds Workshops

Do you want to learn more about food safety as a volunteer quantity cook?

The University of Maine Cooperative Extension in Cumberland County announces three separate workshops on food safety training called  ”Cooking for Crowds” for volunteer quantity cooks to be held at 75 Clearwater Dr., Suite 104, Falmouth, Maine

This workshop meets Good Shepherd Food-Bank food safety training requirements.

Plan to attend one of our workshops listed below:

When:            Mar 26 (register by 3/19/13)  OR

                        Apr 10 (register by 4/3/13)    OR

                        Apr 25 (register by 4/18/13)

Time:             1:00PM – 5:00PM

Cost:              $15  (Scholarships are available)

What you will learn:

  • Up-to-date food safety techniques for buying, storing, preparing, transporting, and serving food.

Participants will receive Cooking for Crowds Resource Manual, thermometers and more!
