Volunteer Activities with Extension Homemaker Groups

The opportunity to be a life long learner awaits you.  Volunteer with other creative people doing community projects and service.

Why not signup today to join an existing daytime group near you or start a new evening group in your community?    The University of Maine Extension Homemakers’ (daytime) Groups for 2014 are:  Gray, West Baldwin, Windham/White Rock, and Tri-town.

By extending the University of Maine resources into community through educational  opportunities and service projects, the Extension Homemaker Groups bring  life-long learning home.

  • 2014 area of study is Italy, its food, culture and customs
  • Volunteer activities include creating shelter bag, valentines for veterans, knitting projects for homeless shelters and food pantries
  • Creative group displays at Cumberland Fair bring attention to University of Maine Cooperative Extension programs such as food preservation.
