VOLUNTEER HELP NEEDED!

The Cumberland County Extension Association (CCEA) is looking for interested people to serve on its Board of Directors.

Cumberland County Extension Association oversees county funding in support of the University of Maine Cooperative Extension educational programs in Cumberland County in areas of 4-H and Youth Development, Agriculture and Horticulture, Natural Resources, Family Living, Food Safety and Nutrition.

The Board, comprised of up to 28 volunteers, typically meets on the third Wednesday evening every month, except on holidays, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM usually at the UMaine Regional Learning Center in Falmouth.  Board members can serve three two-year terms beginning in September.

We would like to have representation from a good cross-section of community minded people, from towns all over Cumberland County, who have an interest, knowledge and/or experience with UMaine Extension.

If you are interested in serving and would like to know more about the Cumberland County Extension Association, please connect with Andrea Herr at 781-6099, 1-800-287-1471 or andrea.herr@maine.edu to request an information packet.
