January 28, 2013: Today CRE launched a multi-state pilot study of the Comprehensive Intervention Model (CIM). The purpose of the study is to document how CIM helps educators meet the needs of children who are struggling to learn to read. The CIM system is uniquely designed to provide educators with real-time data about the progress of their students, and inform instructional decision-making within an RTI framework. The study expands the on-going CIMME project in Maine to include eight other states: Arkansas, Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, Missouri, Tennessee, Washington, and Wisconsin.
This study is a collaborative effort between the University of Maine and four other University Training Centers, including the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, National-Louis University, the University of Kentucky, and the University of Northern Iowa.
