Meet the Staff - Denea Llerena
Tell us a little bit about yourself
I live in Hampden with my family and have three cats. I enjoy spending time with family & friends, reading, refinishing furniture, attempting to garden, shopping and cooking. I hope to learn to quilt and decorate cakes someday!
What has been your most embarrassing moment (either at work or play)?
When my husband asked me to marry him I said “No”, but only because I thought he was joking. When he persisted and pulled out a cardboard box from the jeweler I insisted it must be empty. Only after he opened the box and I saw the ring did I realize he was serious and then I still didn’t tell him “yes”. In my excitement over my pending engagement I called my mom and left him standing there waiting for my answer. We are happily married and have been for almost 8 years.
What is your favorite comfort food?
Roast Chicken with homemade macaroni and cheese and oregano oven baked potatoes.
If you could take a trip anywhere in the world, where would you go?
I’m not really sure! There are many places in the US I’d like to see. Maybe a trip to Italy to see where my great-great grandparents lived.
