Meet the Staff - Chuck McKay

C.MckayTell us a little bit about yourself

My name is Chuck.  I am a dad and a husband.  Prior to seeking my degree in clinical counseling, I held many different jobs: high school English teacher, newspaper editor, driving instructor, dance instructor, ice cream truck driver, and telemarketer.  In my spare time I like to write and play games.

What has been your most embarrassing moment (either at work or play)?

I often get dressed in the dark, and have arrived at work with my shirt on backwards or inside out.

What is your favorite comfort food?

I enjoy Indian food and lasagna.

Role in center

I am a graduate assistant working in the Touchstone Project, which is our prevention-oriented programming.  I am also a part-time clinical intern.

Areas of interest

Existential-Humanist, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Buddhist Psychology, prevention.
