Christopher Grindrod is an Assistant Professor of Communication Sciences and Disorders and a Member of the Center on Aging, and the Graduate School of Biomedical Science and Engineering at the University of Maine. He obtained his PhD in Communication Sciences and Disorders from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. In his research program, he works at the intersection of cognitive neuroscience and acquired language disorders. Specifically, his research focuses on the effects of aging and brain damage on language comprehension processes in the cerebral hemispheres. In addition, he serves as a reviewer for a number of prominent journals in the field of neurolinguistics, including Brain and Language, Journal of Neurolinguistics and Neuropsychologia.
