The William S. Cohen Center for International Policy and Commerce serves as a focal point for education, outreach and research on important and timely international issues. The Center’s programs and resources benefit historians, students, public servants, business people, and the general public. The William S. Cohen Center collaborates with Maine organizations such as the Maine International Trade Center and Eastern Maine Development Corporation, as well as national and international organizations and other centers for business and economic research.
The Cohen Center’s Educational and Community Outreach Programs draw upon the experiences and expertise of the University of Maine’s international student and faculty population, and employ interdisciplinary approaches to deliver workshops, seminars, and short courses designed to promote success within an increasingly global economy. Campus partners include the Canadian American Center, Corporate Affiliate Program, Franco-American Center, Office of International Programs, and a broad range of academic departments at Maine’s only comprehensive research university.
The hallmarks of the William S. Cohen Center for International Policy and Commerce are the research associated with the collection, scholarship and special programs including the William S. Cohen Lecture Series and the William S. Cohen Faculty Fellowship.
