Tracks, Minors and Technical Electives

Business Track – Minor in Business (2 courses)

  • ECO 120 Principles of Microeconomics 3 Credits
  • ECO 121 Principles of Macroeconomics 3 Credits
  • BUA 201 Principles of Financial Accounting I (sophomore standing) 3 Credits
  • BUA 325 Principles of Management and Organization (junior standing, ECO 120 and 121) 3 Credits
  • BUA 350 Business Finance (junior standing, BUA 201, ECO 120 and 121) 3 Credits
  • BUA 370 Marketing (junior standing, BUA 201, ECO 120 and 121) 3 Credits
  • BUA XXX One additional business course for which the student meets prerequisites. Students planning on entering the MBA program in their fifth year (the “Five-Year MBA” below) should take BUA 202, Principles of Managerial Accounting, to complete the minor. (Five-Year MBA students also need to take BUA 335, Principles of Management Information Systems.) 3 Credits

Surveying Track – Minor in Surveying Technology (3 courses)

  • CET 101 Basic Plane Surveying 3 Credits
  • CET 202 Construction Surveying 3 Credits
  • CET120, Technical Drawing 3 Credits
  • SVT 221 Boundary Law1 3 Credits
  • CET 332 Civil Engineering Technology 3 Credits
  • SVT341, Advanced Surveying; or SVT437, Practical GPS; or SVT352, Practical Field Operations; or SVT475, Small Business Management (One three course) or SVT110, Data Collectors; or SVT322, Preparing Effective Property Descriptions; or SVT418, Fundamentals of Surveying Exam Overview; or SVT329, Site Planning & Subdivision; or SVT325, Surveying/Engineering Ethics (Three, one credit courses) 3 Credits

Total 18 Credits

Note 1: This course will substitute for the Western Cultural general education requirement.

A 2.0 average in all minor courses is required to receive the minor in SVT with no more than one grade less than C-
