Amy Smith – Graduate Assistant/Academic Advisor

Adam Lee Cilli is a graduate assistant and academic adviser for the CLAS advising center. He is currently working on his Doctorate in American History here at the University of Maine. Previously he served as a teaching assistant for the UMaine Department of History, from 2010 to 2013, and as a history instructor during the spring 2014 term. Adam is a native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He completed his bachelor’s degree at Thiel College in 2005, and in 2010 he earned master’s degrees in social science and education from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. As an “at-risk” student entering college, Adam was fortunate enough to receive guidance and support from several dedicated academic advisers who helped him get on the path to academic success, and he looks forward to working with his students in a similar capacity.
