What is an Internship?
An internship is a work experience that is related to the student’s major or career interests. It can be paid or unpaid, full-time or part-time, for credit or not for credit.

What is Cooperative Education Experience (co-op)?
A co-op is an educational program that integrates academics with a particular career field of interest. It is generally completed over the course of more than one semester. It typically includes work assignments that are related to the student’s career and academic interests. It is a paid experience. Academic credit is given for these types of programs, and it is based upon a learning contract agreed upon in advance by the employer, the student, and the student’s faculty advisor.
