Ottawa Trip 2014

Field Trip to Ottawa: The Canadian Studies Field Trip to Ottawa, Ontario, Canada is an exciting opportunity open to all UMaine students.

The benefits of participating in this activity are considerable: they include travel in a foreign country and provide a direct contact with a substantial portion of Canadian content: Canadian geography, history, culture, political and social identity.

Planning for this field trip takes into consideration that it must be affordable. Consequently, all transportation costs, entry fees to museums and historic sites, and hotel accommodations are subsidized by the Canadian-American Center. Meal costs are not included in trip cost.

Registration fee for the trip will be $150.   To register a non-Umaine student, please register he/she separately with his/her personal information but your MaineStreet ID.

The visit includes tours of the Museum of Civilization, Parliament Hill, a visit to the United States Embassy, an optional opportunity to attend in an Ottawa Senators NHL hockey game and plenty of free time to explore the city.
