The University of Maine Cycling Club acts as a competitive and recreational group of cyclists. The Cycling Club was formed to meet the needs of the diverse university cycling community.

The competitive faction of the club represents the University of Maine in various cycling disciplines at collegiate level competitions. This includes all forms of road, cyclocross, and mountain bike racing.

The competitive and recreational factions together participate in numerous organized group rides, trail maintenance, and event organization.
