Purpose
The primary purpose of this position is summer camp counselor at the New Balance Student Recreation Center. This employee’s primary responsibility is to oversee the safety and programming for campers ages 6-12 for 9 weeks of summer camp. Additionally, he or she will facilitate games and activities to enhance the camp experience for each participant. He or she will provide excellent customer service and always be attentive to campers’ needs. The person holding this position is responsible for facilitating a fun, safe and welcoming environment for participants and staff members at all times. Before employment begins they are required to achieve certifications in Professional Rescuer CPR, Standard First Aid, Blood Borne Pathogens, and the use of an Automated External Defibrillator.

As an RAD Camp Counselor, you are expected to be a friendly, knowledgeable and vigilant representative of Campus Recreation. We expect all employees to have a positive attitude, show up for work on time, dress professionally, and perform all assigned duties in a professional manner. In addition, we expect all employees to treat everyone with respect.
Job Requirements
Priority may be given to individuals with the following certification(s):
Position Type: – Pay Level II: $325/week
*Work Study / Work Merit: Work Study – Optional
Time Commitment: 40 hours/week during camp weeks.
Shift Days/Times: weekdays, M-F
Supervisory Responsibilities: No
