The MBA program is a 39 credit program.
All MBA students take:
BUA 601 – Statistical Analysis and Modeling for Organizational Operations
BUA 605 – Creating & Capturing Value in the Digital Economy
BUA 609- Financial Statement Analysis
BUA 620 – Law, Business and Society
BUA 626 – Management of Contemporary Organizations
BUA 651 – Financial Management
BUA 649 – Management Policy
BUA 596 – International Field Study
Accounting Track
BUA 697 – Field Experience in Accounting (3 credits) (1)
Pick four of the following:
BUA 406: Advanced Managerial Accounting
BUA 409 – Accounting for Governmental and Not-For-Profit Entities or Advanced Cost Accounting. Whichever NOT taken for undergrad credit.
BUA 507 – Advanced accounting
BUA 515 – Federal Taxation of Business Entities
BUA 608 – Accounting Theory and International Accounting
One approved MBA elective course
1 Accounting track students take BUA 697 and NOT BUA 695 (MBA Internship) or BUA 641 (Consulting).
Note: Only one pre-approved 400-level course may be taken in the MBA program.
This program may be modified to best meet student’s professional career goals.
Prerequisites: Students are required to have a minimum of a B- in all prerequisite courses.
- Students are expected to have prior knowledge of management, finance, marketing, & statistics. This knowledge can be demonstrated by successfully completing college courses in these areas equivalent to BUA 325, BUA 350, BUA 370 & MAT 215. Students with out this knowledge can meet the requirement by completing on-line tutorials coordinated through the Business School Graduate Office and passing an assessment exam.

- BUA 201 Introduction to Financial Accounting
- BUA 202 Introduction to Managerial Accounting
- BUA 301 Intermediate Accounting 1
- BUA 302 Intermediate Accounting 2
- BUA 305 Cost Accounting
- BUA 310 Auditing
- BUA 312 Federal Taxation of Individuals
- ECO 410 Introduction to Economics or ECO120 Microeconomics and ECO 121 Macroeconomics
- Students are required to have a minimum of a B- in all prerequisite courses. If they have a lower grade, they must retake that course and earn the minimum B- grade.
- Demonstrated computer proficiency (this requirement may be met by previous course work, by test or by taking appropriate courses during the masters program).
- A basic knowledge of college algebra and statistics is required.
