Spotlight: Ms. Erin Hews. Erin Hews was selected as the 2008 outstanding MSA student to be honored at the Graduate Hooding Ceremony, graduating in May with a Masters of Science in Accounting. She has been doing an internship at Berry, Dunn, McNeil and Parker since January 2007 and has accepted a full time position in their auditing department with them after graduation.Click here to read full story.

Spotlight: Ms. Tamara Janashia. A recent graduate of Umaine MBA program, Tamara Janashia, tells us the story of her success after attaining her degree in her own words: "I graduated from the University of Maine in May 2007 with a Masters degree in Business Administration. It all started two years earlier when I came to Orono as part of an Edmund Muskie exchange program which is funded by the State Department of the United States and gives young professionals from the former Soviet Union an opportunity to study at the graduate schools in the United States. Jamison & Einstein Win First Place in Business Plan Competition. Justin Jamison and Brooks Einstein were honored with a first place award in the Green Products Business Plan Writing Competition. Their business plan was for a local organic milk processing facility. Click here to read full story. MBA Team Competes in International Case Competition. This year, the 27th John Molson MBA International Case took place January 7 - 12 at the Hilton Montreal Bonaventure. UMaine MBA students Christine Clark, Thomas Miller, Cristin O’Brien, and Kevin Paul have successfully competed in this globally prestigious event with the help of team’s faculty advisors Harold Daniel and Paul Myer, and David Barrett’s pre-training.
