Welcome to The University of Maine’s National Association of Women MBAs (NAWMBA) chapter of the Maine Business School.  As the first chapter in the state, we are dedicated to enhancing the professional goals of each member.

The chapter is focused on empowering MBA women through:

  • Professional career growth and development
  • Educational/didactic experiences
  • Scholarship
  • Fostering an inclusive and supportive community
  • Giving back to the community in meaningful ways
  • Helping to empower women in business and entrepreneurship

All newly admitted students to the MBA program will receive a free annual NAWMBA membership, courtesy of the UMaine Chapter.  This is our way of helping you get a jumpstart to the NAWMBA website and its many benefits.

We are also a sponsored chapter under the UMaine Graduate Student Government, which provides university funding.  This will advance our causes, lessen expenditures for members, enhance networking, and support on-campus and external events such as the NAWMBA annual conference, held in Washington, DC in the Fall 2014.

Student membership does not require attendance at all meetings but we strongly recommend you attend routinely for chapter unity and building momentum.  Our chapter meets monthly at the Maine Business School and is led by our power team of volunteers:
