Undergraduate Assurances of Learning - Syllabus Boilerplate

Syllabus boilerplate

The Maine Business School has established six program goals.  This course addresses goal (s): 

Goal 1:  Problem Solving Our graduates will demonstrate problem-solving skills, supported by appropriate quantitative and qualitative analysis.  Students will assess a business problem, choose and apply the appropriate business tool (quantitative, qualitative) necessary for concise analysis and propose suitable solutions.  

 Goal 2:  General Business Knowledge  Our Graduates will demonstrate a mastery of basic business theory, principles, & knowledge in core business disciplines.  

Goal 3:  Our Graduates will be effective communicators.  Students will demonstrate the ability to prepare and present business material orally and in writing.

Goal 4:  Teamwork Students will understand the fundamental concepts of teamwork, and demonstrate the ability to work in teams.  

Goal 5: Ethics: Students will be aware of ethical frameworks and how they relate to social laws.  

Goal 6:  Global Perspectives Students will demonstrate knowledge of global and cultural dimensions of the modern business environment.  

(If you would like to add the goal corresponding objectives to the goal(s) taught in your class please utilize the following wording as outline by our Maine Business School Program Goals and Objectives). 

“In this course in addition to a broad introduction or reinforcement of the goals specified above, BUA XXX (YOU FILL IN) is designed to (introduce/reinforce/and or assess) {CHOOSE 1 or more} goal(s) #above.”
