Woodscraft Program Path - Maine Woodscraft (2 weeks) (ages 13-15)

Ready for a longer, more challenging camp experience? The Maine Woodscraft Program is a two-week outdoor skills and leadership experience. This is excellent preparation for Junior Maine Guide training, but is not a pre-requisite.

This exciting two-week camp focuses on building wilderness skills and a higher level of self-confidence. During the first week, campers will learn new skills, and practice their axemanship and wilderness cooking. From trip planning to backpacking, and canoeing skills to first aid, Woodscraft participants learn the skills needed to enjoy the wilderness safely and comfortably. The program culminates with a backpacking and canoe trip in some of Western Maine’s most beautiful regions!

Each camper will earn his or her Maine Woodscraft Patch , the second and last step before taking on the challenge of Junior Maine Guide!
