Primitive Program Path - Primitive Skills (ages 11-13)

Make your way to Split Rock campsite, the traditional home of Primitive Skills at Bryant Pond 4-H Camp, and enter a world you never knew existed. Learn to live as humans did for thousands of years as you unplug from modern technology and reconnect with the natural world in a pristine backcountry environment. Cook your food over an open fire that you started without even using a match. Mix traditional ingredients with food that you’ve foraged as you learn about wild edibles growing all around you. Discover the art of camouflage and silent stalking and put it to use observing animals. Then settle in for a peaceful night in a shelter that you built yourself.

Because the program is designed as an introduction to the Primitive Path, you can feel comfortable enrolling no matter what your experience level is!
