Primitive Program Path - Primitive Challenge (ages 14-17)

campers cook over a camp fireThis immersion in primitive living and survival will require you to rely on teamwork and survival skills you develop during this week as your camping gear is taken away a bit at a time.  You’ll learn to work with a team on making a natural shelter and dwelling, primitive friction fire, backcountry cooking, various uses of wild plants, tool craft, knife safety, carving, water purification, rope making, nature observation, awareness, tracking, and silent movement.

The success of your team will depend on your ability to quickly build a group shelter and start a fire with a bow drill set.  The week concludes with a 24-hour survival challenge during which you will be provided with only basic food, a knife, and a piece of cord.

Ages: 14 – 17
