camper makes a basket; photo by Edwin RemsbergFar along the mountain trail and over a babbling brook sits the pristine Pine Brook Campsite, where Bushcraft campers live and learn, away from the bustle of regular camp. Wake to the sounds of nature and begin a journey to learn the skills of the traditional Maine Guide as well as primitive woods-wisdom, skills and craft making.

Learn techniques for wilderness cooking over an open fire as you help cook your own meals. Squirrels, deer, moose, owls and foxes will be your neighbors as you discover the wonder of Maine wildlife by learning advanced animal tracking skills. Gain the confidence and skills needed to survive by building your own cozy shelter and have a chance at weaving a beautiful pack basket, that you will take home!

After a week of gaining experience, you’ll apply your skills away from camp on a canoe expedition through one of Maine’s beautiful waterways. Where will your adventure take you?
