About Us - Rent Our Facilities
Our camp location in western Maine (Bethel area) is an ideal setting to gather for work, planning, or recreation. In the spring and fall, we rent our camp or host functions with or without meals. (Our staff is available for presentations and skills sessions if organizers want some additional programming.)
Our central lodge dining room accommodates up to 100 for meals and meetings. Library and break out rooms in the Stone House, covered porches, outdoor classroom areas, lakeside docks, canoes and kayaks, bunkhouses with shared baths (men’s and women’s bunkhouses with wood stoves), 170 acres of woods and mountain trails. We also have two remote shelter locations with outhouses. Nearby Maine House offers well appointed guest house lodging (across the lake; many guests paddle back and forth).
Events/Groups We Have Hosted
- Small Businesses: Planners want a relaxed atmosphere for planning and getting to know each other better. We offer an affordable alternative to high-priced hotel facilities and a quiet location that allows participants time to focus on goals, strategies, and relationships. This site is ideal for businesses that want a “real Maine” focus for their meetings.
- Training Meetings and Small Conferences: This fall we hosted search and rescue professionals from several states’ Fish and Wildlife agencies while they trained and learned the latest techniques. We’ve also hosted Becoming An Outdoors Woman weekends, accommodating both indoor and outdoor training sessions in classrooms, lodge, and on the docks, range and outdoor classrooms.
- Retreats: Groups seeking a weekend of communication and outdoor recreation in a site set apart from the “working world” use our forested lakeside locations to focus on their goals.
