The Executive Committee of the University of Maine Board of Visitors proposed changes to the overall committee structure of the Board at its most recent meeting.

The Executive and Nominating/Governance Committees will remain intact at this time.

Executive Committee members include:

• Peter Haynes (Chair, BOV)
• Dorcas G. Wilkinson (Vice Chair, BOV)
• Anne C. Lucey
• Henry Schmelzer
• Miles Unobsky Theeman

Nominating/Governance Committee members include:

• Jay Cromarty
• Chris Emmons
• Henry Schemlzer

Executive Committee members proposed that other committees be suspended at this time and that BOV members direct their time and expertise to assisting UMaine with its strategic Blue Sky Plan.  Each BOV member will participate in and contribute one or more Pathways discussions.  The proposed committee reorganization better aligns BOV resources with the most immediate needs of the University of Maine.
