• Ammonium Sulfate is used to treat the West Bear Brook Watershed.
• West Bear Brook is treated via helicopter provided by Maine Helicopter Inc.
• The West and East Bear Brook Watersheds are on the southeastern slope of Lead Mountain which is the summit to the left in the photo.  A nearby parking area is the takeoff point for the helicopter.  From there the helicopter launches for treatment runs, and appears as a small white speck over West Bear as it treats the watershed
