Black Bear Robotics

T-Shirt Launcher

The very first project for BBR. The project started in 2007 and was fully running January 2010. More info to come soon.

Combat Robot

The Robot Conflict project is a true engineering project in the BBRC domain. It started from the ground up sitting around a table discussing the limitations in design, budget, and manufacturing. The frame started as an abstract idea related to the offensive method of the robot. The frame was then drawn by hand, then in a CAD software where it was tested in simulations. These drawings were then sent to a machinist and welder to fabricate the frame. The control system was designed and specified by the members of the group and is being installed as per the drawings created earlier in the project.

The team is going to Harrisburg, PA in February 2015 to compete at the annual Motorama event. There, there will be a multitude of teams from other Universities, Colleges, companies in industry, and individual hobbyists competing.
