A 15-week course for those interested in becoming certified Master Gardener Volunteers will be offered by the University of Maine Cooperative Extension at the Androscoggin-Sagadahoc Counties office located at 24 Main Street in Lisbon Falls beginning in March 2013. Extension Educator Tori Jackson will collaborate with experts from around the state to present basic ornamental horticulture and volunteer training. Sessions will be held Thursday evenings from 6:00-9:00 PM beginning on March 7, 2013. Enrollment will be capped at 20. The deadline to request an application is January 4, 2013, and applications must be received by January 21, 2013. The course fee is on a sliding scale from $110-$330.
