 What is a Site Visit?

The National Science Foundation conducts site visits with ADVANCE Institutional Transformation awardees to assess grantees’ progress toward achieving the objectives outlined in their ADVANCE proposal, and to ensure funded projects are meeting broader national ADVANCE program goals. The multi-day visit to the University of Maine will facilitate in-depth evaluation of initiatives implemented through the ADVANCE Rising Tide Center. In addition, ADVANCE personnel will receive guidance from the review team for enhancing project outcomes, and ensuring that best practices identified during the conduct of this project will be institutionalized to sustain the benefits to ADVANCE stakeholders and the university community.

UMaine ADVANCE Site Visit Dates: September 16 – 17, 2013
