Dr. Virginia Valian, Feb 11, 2011: Why So Slow?  Dr. Virginia Valian, a leading expert on the challenges facing women in higher education and the inaugural guest of the Rising Tide Center, highlighted the importance of  addressing the issues that limit opportunities for women faculty members in STEM disciplines and social-behavioral sciences when she visited our campus in February.  Materials provided by Dr. Valian, which include action items that support gender equity and define administrative accountability, may be viewed by clicking the links below.
