Smith appointed to commission on status of women in Maine

UMaine News, July 1, 2014 - Rebekah Smith, a research associate at the Margaret Chase Smith Policy Center, was appointed to the Permanent Commission on the Status of Women by Speaker of the Maine House of Representatives Mark Eves. The Permanent Commission on the Status of Women is “a government-appointed group dedicated to improving opportunities for women and girls.” The group advises the Governor and members of the legislature about policy and social issues affecting women and girls in the state.
