4-H Projects - Healthy Lifestyles

4-H supports Healthy Lifestyles and offers programs such as Kids Can Grow!, Eat Well Nutrition Education, and other activities that promote physical activity and nutrition education.

Kids Can Grow!

The Kids Can Grow! program is a dynamic gardening and community-service program designed to teach children about the science behind growing food and flowers together with the basics of food safety and good nutrition.

Eat Well Nutrition Education

Eat Well nutrition education program is free to income eligible individuals, families, schools, and groups. Participants learn

  • new ideas and recipes for healthy meals;
  • how to prepare great snacks;
  • meal planning for busy people;
  • how to keep food safe; and
  • tips for a healthy lifestyle.
