UMaine Extension 4-H Hosts Silent Auction – July 20, 2013

Maine 4-H Days will host a silent auction July 20, 2013, starting at 5:00 p.m. at Windsor Fairgrounds in Windsor, Maine. The drawing begins at 7:00 p.m. Proceeds will help more than 100 4-H members participate in the Eastern States Exposition in West Springfield, Massachusetts.

Auction tickets will cost $5.00 for 25, $10.00 for 60, and $20.00 for 125. Dollar tickets will be sold for items valued at more than $100.00. UMaine Extension 4-H youth are collecting items; donations are being accepted. A food booth will be open during the auction.

4-H Silent Auction on February 16, 2013

On Saturday, February 16 from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. the Penobscot County 4-H Leaders’ Association will be holding its Annual Bangor Mall 4-H Silent Auction. This year the Piscataquis County 4-H Leaders’ Association will be joining them. We have some terrific items already donated, such as gift cards for:

  • Bangor Mall,
  • Black Bear Inn,
  • Bugaboo Creek Steak House,
  • Cookie Nook Bakery,
  • Day’s Jewelers,
  • Domino’s Pizza in Old Town,
  • Giacomo’s Restaurant,
  • Great Skates Entertainment Center,
  • Hannaford,
  • J.C. Penney,
  • Longhorn Steak House,
  • Maine Discovery Museum,
  • Miguel’s Mexican Restaurant,
  • Natural Living Center,
  • Nicky’s Cruisin’ Diner,
  • Rebecca’s Gift Shop,
  • Wal-Mart, and
  • What’s the Scoop? Cafe.

Other items donated are equipment paint from Tractor Supply Company in Dover-Foxcroft, and horse supplies from Blue Seal in Bangor. Lots more items are coming in daily.

Not only will there be an all day auction, but 4-H’ers from both counties will be presenting Demonstrations and Illustrated Talks during the day. Be sure to join us by the J. C. Penney store, inside the Bangor Mall. You’re sure to find something you just can’t resist!
